WEST COAST



West Coast appears to have been a custom recording company.  The label of the only one of its products that I have ever seen in the vinyl, Blend's, 'Together Again' EP, shows that company was based in Ayr.  That EP came in a picture sleeve, which provided the further information that the group came from the New Cumnock area and that the producer of the record was John Gould, who was a director of the company.  Thanks to Stephen Small, who has done a sterling job of tracking down several other West Coast releases and has kindly sent along the information contained in the discography below; thanks also to Klepsie of the 45cat site for tweaking some of the dates.  There was a West Coast Sound label, from Devon, in the '70s, but as yet I haven't found any 7" records on it.
