Wasps appears to have been a privately-owned label with connections to a Wrexham night club of the same name. It seems to have issued only one record, a novelty single offering 'Johanne Of The Zuyder Zee Far Canal (Far Canal)' b/w 'Nothing Wrong With Women', by Wrexham-based Rock group Patchwork (WSP-1; 1978). Patchwork had an album, 'Unlucky For Some', out on Canon Records at about the same time (CNN-5945; 1978). Thanks to Robert Bowes for providing the scan and for enlightening me as to what 'Far Canal' sounds like when you say it quickly.
