RAM
Ram appears to have been
a DIY label. Googling suggests that it was responsible for just one record: a
double-'A'-sided single by Emile & The Rams with 'Lose Again' on one side and 'Rock 'N Roll & Boogey' on the other. The catalogue number of the single was LAM-7, with the '7' presumably referring to the record's size rather than indicating that there were six previous Rams. There's no date on the labels but the typeface has a '70s look to it and the songs have a 'dance-orientated Glam Pop' air to them that suggests somewhere around 1974-75, so I'm moderately confident that the single was from our decade. A signed copy on the 45cat site reveals that 'Emile' was hit-maker Emile Ford; I would guess that he had these pressed to sell at gigs, as he did with several records in the '70s and '80s on labels such as Alpha, Transdisc (q.v. both), Met-El-Ford and Interclub (album only). Thanks to Hawkmarty of 45cat for bringing Ram to my attention.
