NATTY CONGO
A Reggae label; Mark Griffiths writes that it was owned by
Trevor Bow. Natty Congo released at least one 7" single, Negus
Dawtas' 'I Speak The Truth' (NATTY-001),in 1978. It also issued
several LPs, with PFLP and CLP prefixes, and 12" singles, numbered in the
NCDM-000s, between 1978 and 1983. The 'PFLP' suggests a link with
Plastic Fantastic Records, which manufactured and distributed several Reggae
labels around that time; by 1983 major Reggae distributor Jetstar was
responsible for handling Natty Congo products. Thanks to Robert
Bowes for the scan.
