Midland International was owned by Ed O'Loughlin and Bob Reno; it was successful in the States, with artists such as Soul/Disco singer Carol Douglas, but it never troubled the compilers of the British Singles Chart. Manufacturing and distribution was by RCA; a change of name in 1977, to Midsong International (q.v.) was soon followed by a move to Polydor.
