MARLIN

By the look of it, Marlin was another of the hundreds of short-lived private labels which custom recording companies provided for their customers.  The customer in this case was most likely Vince Collins, whose single, 'It's A Good Life' (VJCSP-001; 1977) was the first - and possibly the only - release on the label: I presume that his initials make up the 'VJC' part of the prefix.   The recording was made through Beck studios of Wellingborough.
