MARK WINSTON

One of those cases where a record has no label identification and I've had to use the artist's name as an identifier.  With the help of backing band Junction, singer Mark Winston made a self-finaced single, 'A Word Before You Go' b/w 'Help Me Make It', though custom recording firm Deroy (q.v.) of Kilcreggan.  There was no date on the single, but its matrix number, DER-1261, suggests that it was made in 1976 or thereabouts.  Winston went on to make an album for Dara in 1977; that also was called 'A Word Before You Go' (MPA-019).  Thanks to Stephen Small for bringing the single to my attention, and to Jimboo of the 45cat site for permission to use his scan here.
