A Reggae label, one of the Trojan stable. J-Dan featured productions by 'Dandy' (Robert Livingstone Thompson); catalogue numbers suggest that it issued at least eighteen singles during 1970-71, in a JDN-4400 numbering series, but several numbers seem not to have been used. Dandy reinvented himself as Dandy Livingstone, and went on to taste chart success with 'Suzanne Beware Of The Devil' (1972) and 'Big City' (1973), both on the Horse label.
