HUSTLE
The
only record that I have been able to trace on Hustle is the EP shown above,
which is by Mark Aynsley with Sullivan's Higher Ground. It features
'Itching Jar', a Neil Sedaka medley, and two original songs. Hustle
gives the impression of being a DIY concern: the EP format is common among
self-financed products; the artists sound like a Club / Cabaret act; and the
label design is fairly basic. By way of confirmation the catalogue
number of the EP, PX-1077, belongs to a series used by custom-recording firm
CJMO (q.v.) - a fact that makes it impossible to say if there are any more
Hustles out there. The music is MOR Male Vocal Pop stuff, lent a
vaguely soulful / funky air by the electric piano / synthesizer / bass / drums
backing.
