HALFWAY

Named after the 'Halfway House' pub in Grenofen, Devon. - According to the label of Halfway's only release, an EP by Hombre featuring 'Hall Of Funny Mirrors' and four other tracks, the owner (?) of the pub, John Rigbey, played a major part in making that record possible.  The EP was recorded in Swan St. Studios, Torquay.  It is undated, but Discogs has it as 1978, which sounds reasonable.  Its catalogue number was HR-1, and the contents of the grooves were Adult Orientated Rock.  The three tracks on the 'B' side were 'Fidgety Feet', 'Back Street Stars' and 'Sandwiches For The Orchestra'.  The band had an album called 'Wanted' out on the West Coast Sound label in 1977 (WCS-1018 / DER-1384); both EP and LP collectable.
