HAIG

A DIY / small independent label.  As yet I haven't managed to pin Haig down to a particular year, but I'm fairly confident that it's from the early-mid '70s - the design bears a strong family resemblance to those of Viking and Yarmouth Recording Studios (q.v. both), which were active in that period.  An EP by Preston Guild appears to have been Haig's only release.  It had a catalogue number of SMJ-101, and in addition to the tracks shown on the scan above it offered versions of 'Fever' and 'Ain't Misbehavin''.  'Without You' was a hit for Nilsson in 1972, so that at least gives us a 'not before' date.  Thanks to Mystdrf of the 45cat site for permission to use his scan here.
