GRUNDINGA
A DIY label from the Punk era, Grundinga was owned by the Steroid
Kiddies, who hailed from Manchester. Its only release seems to have
been that group's, 'The Kiddies' EP (SK-001; 1979). Robert Bowes, who
kindly supplied the scans, says that 'Grundinga' is an old Anglo-Saxon word
meaning 'from the ground up', 'totally'; which sounds a bit posh for a Punk
label. He adds that he believes that the bird was called the 'Frugal
Bird', but he can't recall what its origins are.
