Firebrand was one of a couple of labels owned
by Dema Directions, of Bristol, the other being Great Western
(q.v.).  Firebrand seems to have been the first on the scene, arriving
in 1974.  When Great Western started up, in 1976, both labels began to
share a DM-000 numerical series, later DM-1000  It is possible that Firebrand was Dema's label for records
which it actually issued, with Great Western being more of a DIY concern,
but that's only a guess.  Neither seems to have issued any records after
1983.  As can be seen, Firebrand came in one design but
several different colour schemes.  Thanks to John Hodgson for bringing the
label to my attention, and for sending the yellow scan.  The other two
scans appear here by courtesy of Sporidium (red)
and Sid-Departure (black) of the 45cat site.  The discography below covers
both Firebrand and Great Western releases, and, just for once, covers the 1980s as
well as the '70s.  Great Westerns are marked with an asterisk.
