EURODISK

The label of publishing company Eurodisk Music.  Eurodisk appears to have managed just a couple of releases: a double album featuring material from a musical called 'The Barrier' and a single featuring a couple of tracks taken from it.  The 'A' side of the single offered Elaine Paige singing 'Ireland', while on the 'B' she was joined by Peter Oliver for 'We're Only Flesh And Blood'.  Its catalogue number was WHS-101, reflecting the initials of producer William Horvers, and it came out in June 1978, with the double album (WH-1001 / 1002) following shortly after.  There was no label name on the labels of either, but the rear of the LP cover gave it as Eurodisk and 'Music Master' for 1979 did likewise.  Oddly 'MM' didn't mention the single; it was however listed in the 'The New Singles' leaflet at the time.  Distribution was by Selecta.  Both the double album and the single were reissued in July 1980; they kept their original catalogue numbers but the single came out on a new label, 'Inspiration', and the references to Eurodisk Records on the album sleeve were covered up with 'Inspiration' stickers.  For the 1980 release, distribution was handled by Spartan and Pinnacle.  Thanks to Sporidium of the 45Cat site for permission to use his scan here.
