A DIY label from 1979-80, owned by Mod band First Steps, from Bury St. Edmunds. English Rose issued two singles by First Steps, and an EP by David Harris, 'Harry's E.P.' (ER-2; 1980), which reportedly features poetry. The First Steps' singles, 'The Beat Is Back' (ER-1; 11/1979), and 'Anywhere Else But Here' (ER-III; 1980), had the same basic label design but came in different colours.
