D. J. appears to have been a one-off DIY label. Its sole issue was a single, 'Say Goodbye' by Punk / Rock band The Distrainers, who were based in Leicester. The recording was made by custom recording concern Beck Studios (q.v.), as the 'BECK' prefix of the catalogue number indicates. Initially a Punk band, The Distrainers soon moved into the NWOBHM field. They put down a further three tracks in 1980, but those didn't see the light of day until 2006.
