CRAZY RHYTHM
An early DIY label, dedicated to the music of Rock 'n' Roll band Crazy
Cavan and the Rhythm Rockers. Crazy Rhythm, which was based in
Newport, Gwent, managed a couple of 7" releases, a single, 'Teddy Boy Boogie'
(CR-01) in 1973 and an EP, 'Teddy Boy Rock 'N' Roll' (CR-02) the following
year. The band was then signed by Charly Records, and the Crazy
Rhythm label was shelved. It made sporadic reappearances over the
following decades, putting out four LPs between 1979 and 1996. The
third single on the label, 'Rock To The Rhythm' (CR-03) was issued in 1996,
twenty-two years after the second; which must be some sort of a
record. The two early singles now go for tens of pounds on the open
market, which is why the first picture above comes from ebay. Thanks
to Neil Thompson for bringing the label to my attention.
