The label of the Amalgamated Union of Engineering Workers. Obviously the A.U.E.W.'s main buisness lay elsewhere, but it was responsible for the appearance of a single, 'We Are The Engineers' b/w 'I'm Gonna Be An Engineer' by Ewan MacColl and Peggy Seeger. The catalogue number of that record was AUEW-1, logically enough, and pressing was by Pye. There's no date on the labels but the picture sleeve states that the issue was 'An A.U.E.W. contribution to International Womens Year', which allows us to pin it down to 1975.
