AIR-EDEL
AIR-Edel was - in fact it still is - a music
company with many interests: publishing, composition, arranging and recording to
name but four. It was formed by George Martin and Herman Edel towards
the end of the '70s, and was initially the commercial jingle wing of AIR.
At least one vinyl record appeared on the AIR-Edel
label: it was a promotional EP made for the Halifax Building
Society, which featured 'Where Are We Going' and several other tracks,
by Rock Solid (HB-1; 1978). I don't usually include promotional
records on this site, but with AIR-Edel being a proper music business I thought
I could reasonably make an exception in this case. Manufacture of the EP
was by Phonogram, which handled AIR's records.
