AIM

The label of AIM studios, of Doncaster.  AIM appears to have been a fairly short-lived custom-recording outlet.  It seems a safe bet that numbering began at AIM-300 or 301 in 1975 or 1976, and it may well have ended at AIM-304.  There's no date on AIM-304, the Peter Casson 'Give Up Smoking' EP pictured above, but the 45cat site gives it as 1976; the EP can be found in blue as well as yellowy-green, which suggests that it ran to more than one pressing.  The Black Lace EP, which offers 'Suzy Babe' and three other tracks (AIM-303; 1976), is surprisingly collectable.  Pressing of the injection-moulded items was by Phonodisc.  Thanks to Robert Bowes for the scan of the paper label.  If anybody knows what AIM-301 was I'd be pleased to get the details.
