XCITING PLASTIC
Another DIY Punk label;
sadly a doubtful one. As James Denholm of the Worthless Trash and
45Cat sites has kindly pointed out, a single by The Outsiders, 'Vital
Hours' b/w 'Take Up', was listed in ZigZag's 'Small Labels' list for 1978 and in
Greg Shaw's 'New Wave On Record', but there's no evidence that it
was ever actually released. In addition the Alchetron.com
site refers to it but says that it was 'withdrawn'. James adds that The
Outsiders had their own label, Raw Edge (q.v.) and that 'Vital Hours' featured on the
band's LP. I'll leave this page up for reference - in any case, I'm
chronically short of 'X'es.
