SPICE (1978)
The second Spice of the Seventies
was dedicated to music in a West Indian style, and was the label of a
London-based publishing company called Spice Music. The catalogue number
and date of 'One Love' by Basil Lambert & Massagana, SM-008, suggest
that the company issued at least eight records in or around 1978,
but Mark Griffiths writes that only that one single has been
found. He also says that it is unlikely that this label and one
called 'Spice Music' (q.v.) were related, though they dealt in a similar
style of music. Thanks to Robert Bowes for the scan, and for bringing
the label to my attention.
