SEPTEMBER SOUND
A
short-lived label operated by Look Records (q.v.). The only 7" record I
have ever seen on the September Sound label was the Country-flavoured 'Tar And
Cement' by Doncaster-based Country singer Stacey Wylde (LK SP-6027), which was
released in 1975. There was also an album by the Moldgreen Junior Folk
Choir, 'Morning Of Our Lives' (LK-6075; 1976). The catalogue numbers
were taken from the LK SP-6000 numerical series used by the parent label;
September Music was Look's publishing division, and September Sound was the
name of its studio in Golcar. Stacey Wylde went on to make
several LPs for labels such as SRT; she is still performing today, and she has a
website here.
