A Liverpool-based independent. Catalogue numbers suggest that Rox issued at least seventeen singles, using a ROX-000 numerical series, but several numbers seem not to have been used; I haven't as yet found ROXes 001 or 007, from the '70s. There were also four albums, which were numbered in the ROX LP-000s. The first release came out in 1977, and the label seems to have expired around 1981, though apparently there is still a record shop of that name in the city. Artists on its roster included Punk / New Wave bands the Mutants, Black, and the Heroes, but there were representatives of other genres of music also. According to 'Music Master' at least one Rox single was distributed by Spartan. The discography below only covers the 1970s.
