ROOTS (2)

A Reggae label.  The were two different Roots labels in the '70s, both of them issuing Reggae records.  This, the second of them, appears to have been an offshoot of Baal Records (q.v.); six of its eight singles have a credit to Baal on their labels.  It operated from 1977 to 1978, and released eight singles in an RTZ-0 numerical series.  Manufacture and distribution were by Pye, as they were for Baal itself.
