ROLA



An independent Folk label.  Rola issued records from 1979-c.82; most of them were albums, but the occasional 7" crept out.  Johnny Coppin's single 'We Shall Not Pass' b/w 'Can You Feel It?' (RO-001) came out in October 1979, and thus qualified Rola for a place on this site.  To judge from the few examples I have seen, the design of the label appears to have changed from record to record, so the one shown above shouldn't be taken as typical.  Distribution of the first Johnny Coppin single was by Pinnacle; in 1982 Spartan took over the job.
