RINKA
Another one of those late '70s labels which is
little more than a name in a catalogue. Rinka issued at least one
single, the Atoms', 'Max Bygraves Killed My Mother' (R-23; 1979).
The high catalogue number suggests that there were other Rinka singles, but
their existence seems extremely doubtful - more likely the number was chosen for
some personal reason. Some copies of the Atoms single came with a
variety of loose labels; the buyer could stick any one they fancied on to the
record. Thanks to Simon Hughes for the scans - was 'Rinka' the dog's
name?
