The label of Belfast Punk band Stiff Little Fingers. After the first single, 'Suspect Device' (SRD-1; 3/78) the band signed to independent company Rough Trade. A few singles appeared on a combined Rigid Digits / Rough Trade label (2) before SLF signed to Chrysalis Records and Rigid Digits was shelved. It enjoyed a brief renaissance in 1985-87, however, when Jake Burns & the Big Wheel added a further two singles. Orignal pressings of 'Suspect Device' are reported to have red labels, with white and yellow-labelled singles being re-pressings. Thanks to Robert Bowes for the scans.
