A one-off DIY label. Rhopey Records' sole release was an EP by Sturgeon Row, featuring 'Friction' and three other tracks. The catalogue number, SRTS/79/CUS/362, indicates an SRT recording from 1979. Sturgeon Row was a post-punk band from Manchester; the music on their EP has been described as 'homemade eccentricity'. Thanks to Robert Bowes for the scan and for bringing the label to my attention.
