RED
STAR
American. Red Star was
set up by Marty Thau, former manager of the New York Dolls. It
appears to have been more active in the States than in Britain: a glance through
the catalogues suggests that its only releases over here were a single and an
album each by Suicide and the Real Kids. Red Star products were
licensed to and handled by Bronze Records in Britain; the singles shared a BRO-0
catalogue series with those of Bronze. Distribution was by EMI.
