RED SQUARE
Apparently a one-of DIY / small independent
label. The only record that I have been able to trace on this
particular Red Square label is the single shown above, 'The Death Of Rock 'N'
Roll' by Salisbury band The Kitchens. It had a catalogue number of
RS-1, and it was issued in 1979. There does not seem to be any
connection between this Red Square and the company which released a single
called 'Red Square Dance' by The Defectors - reputedly Lindisfarne in disguise -
the following year. Though the names were the same the numbering
(KGB-1) and the label design were different. Thanks to Sam Mauger for
bringing Red Square to my attention and for supplying the scan.
