REBECCA

Rebecca appears to have been a one-off affair.  The only record on the label that I have been able to trace is the one shown above, 'Heaven Help Us All' by Ronnie Dukes and Ricki Lee, which had a catalogue number of BRC-100.  There is no date on the label, but Dukes and Lee were a very popular Light Entertainment act in clubs throughout the Seventies; they had an EP out on the Midland Management label (q.v.) in 1974 and an album, 'Road Show', on EMI's 'One Up' label in 1975, so it seems likely that this single is from the same era.  The record has the no-frills appearance of a private pressing, but if the duo had organized it themselves would they have misspelled 'Ricki' as 'Ricky'?  Or did Ricki become Ricky at some point?  Thanks to Steve Hill for the scan, and for bringing the label to my attention.
