REAL (2)

The second Real Records of the 1970s - and by far the most successful in terms of Chart success - was started by Dave Hill in 1978, after he left the Anchor company.  It lasted until c.1987, and enjoyed a string of successes in both the Singles and Album charts with The Pretenders.  The rather vibrant first label design (1) changed to a more sedate one (2) with ARE-6, which can be found in both forms.  In the '70s, manufacture and distribution of all but the first single were done through WEA.  The discography below only covers that decade.
