LIVE AND LOVE
A Reggae label; a long-lasting and successful
one. Live And Love was a subsidiary of Third World; Mark Griffiths
writes that it was owned, initially at least, by Count
Shelley. It started out in 1975, issuing singles in a LAL-00
numerical series, and was still going in 1990, having adapted smoothly to the
more rootsy Reggae of the late '70s and '80s. It appears to have stopped
releasing 7" records in 1978, from which point it concentrated on 12"
singles, though an occasional 7" slipped out in the '80s. To
begin with, the label had two different-coloured halves (1), but the lower
half disappered between the fourth and sixth issues (2). The scans above
