Something of an obscurity. There appears to have been only one record on the Encounter label, an EP of Christian Folk songs by husband and wife duo Mick and Marilyn. The EP was also called 'Encounter'; it was issued in 1971, and it had a catalogue number of SRM-7096 - one of a series which was used by the studio responsible for making the recording, Studio Republic. Encounter would appear to have been a Chistian missionary movement; its headquarters was The Vicarage, Buntingford, Hertfordshire.
