BURNING BING PRODUCTIONS

A Scottish DIY Punk label.  The single 'Sacred Voices', by the Red Letters, appears to have been the only release on Burning Bing.  Its catalogue number was CPS-025, and it was issued in 1979.  The Red Letters were a trio from Newtongrange; they split in 1981.  More information can be found at the Punk 77 site.  The label was of the simple design adopted by so many DIY labels: it had no logo as such, just the name, 'BURNING BING PRODUCTIONS' in two lines at the top.  Its colour was red with black printing.  The CPS-000 numbering seems to have been used by REL studios, of Edinburgh, for custom recordings; see also 'Radio Edinburgh Ltd', amongst others.
