BURGESS
Burgess appears to have been a small independent label. It issued
at least two singles, both of them in 1976: 'Love' b/w 'Making Friends And
Meeting People' by Lee Stevens (RL-132) and Richard Fox's 'Peace' b/w 'If You
Are But A Dream' (RL-133). The vocals on the rather
old-fashioned-sounding 'Love' are spoken, rather than sung, though Lee sings on
the slightly jazzy 'B' side. Pressing of that record was by Orlake.
The catalogue numbers suggest that there should be at least an RL-131 out there,
somewhere.
