BULLSEYE SYKES

One of those cases where a label hasn't got an identity and I've had to name it after the artist involved.  Bullseye Sykes was responsible for a couple of presumably self-financed 'In Concert' singles.  First off the presses was 'Electric Panel Radiator' b/w 'Ruby Roo' (ES SP-72); it was followed by 'New Lord Hesketh' b/w 'The Ballad Of Hesketh Racing' (ES SP-73).  The same yellow labels were used in both cases.  There's no date on either, but it's not impossible that the '72' and '73' of the catalogue numbers may be the years in which the records were made.  Paul Grayson has written in pointing out that 1973 would be a likely year for a song about Hesketh Racing to be recorded, as the team moved into Formula 1 in that year - thanks to him for that contribution.  Googling reveals only that Bullseye was Bill Sykes's dog in 'Oliver Twist', which isn't a great help, so any relevant information would be welcome.  Thanks to Redpunk of the 45cat site for permission to use his scan here.
