BOULEVARD
A one-off DIY
label. Boulevard was named after the home ground of Hull Rugby League
Football Club, and its only release was an EP of songs in support of the
club. Wildwood Country was the band responsible for the recording.
The tracks on the EP were 'Old Faithful', 'Airlie Birds' (the club's nickname),
'Super Hull' and 'Going For Touch'. Its catalogue number, SRTS /
FMR-003, indicates that it was recorded at Fairview Music Studios of
Hull and made through custom recording firm SRT - some other SRTS / FMR
records from the '70s can be found on the Fairview page. The catalogue
numbers of nearby records in the series indicate that 1977 was the
year of release. Thanks to Nicholas Hough for the scan and for drawing the
label to my attention.
