BOOSEY & HAWKES

Music publishers Boosey & Hawkes specialized in Library records, which by virtue of the fact that they were not intended for the general public are beyond the scope of this site.  There were however a few B&H EPs which were aimed at a wider audience.  They were not intended for sale, exactly; they were included with several of the company's music instruction books.  The first example shown dates from c.1967 and was pressed by Lyntone (LYN-1337/8); the second comes from a series of records which were numbered in the BHED-0000s ('SBHED' for stereo records) - the series included EPs and LPs, and started in 1969.  Catalogue numbers suggest that there were at least seven records in the series, but I have only found two EPs, which are listed below; 0001-0003 were albums.  At least one EP on the Ad-Rhythm label (q.v.) had a number in a special BH-0 series and was produced by Boosey & Hawkes; that was intended for sale.  Thanks to Robert Bowes for drawing the label to my attention and for providing the second scan.
