BLUE ANGEL (2)

The second Blue Angel of the decade belonged to expatriate Irish singer Liam 'Lee' Lynch, and it appears to have been solely a vehicle for his recordings.  There were three albums and at least six singles issued on the label, most of which were issued in the 1980s, but the first album and the first single, 'The Songs My Father Sang' b/w 'Crazy Over You' (FLIP-101) came out in 1979 and qualified it for inclusion on this site.  Lee Lynch had a lot of recording experience: he seems to have started making records in the mid '60s, and over the intervening years he recorded for Rex, Pye, Ember and Columbia as well as for exclusively Irish concerns Hit and Release.  The second single on Blue Angel, 'Paddy's On The Move Again' b/w 'Darling Thank You' (FLIP-001; 1980) was picked up and reissued by CBS (CBS A-1010; 6/81).  Thanks to Sam Mauger for bringing the label to my attention.
