BLOSSOM

An offshoot of Library Music firm Berry Music.  Berry was founded by Roy Berry in the late 1950s.  Its main label, Conroy, appears to have concentrated solely on albums, as did its subsidiaries Studio One and Sounds Of Now.  Blossom came on the scene in the mid '70s and was mainly an album label, but in or around 1976 it managed at least three singles, which were numbered in a BL/S-0 series.  'At The Sunny Side Of Life' b/w 'Enjoy Your Life' by The Stan Jackson Orchestra And Chorus (BS / S-1; 1976), 'Come With Me' b/w 'Fun City' by The Benno Wagner Choir And Orchestra (BL / S-2; 1976) and Fireworks' 'Fireworks Rock' b/w 'He's A Lady Killer' (BL / S-3) were all taken from Blossom or Studio One labels; they and the Blossom albums were available to record shops via Selecta.  Thanks to Klepsie of the 45cat site for bringing the label to my attention and for supplying the scan.
