One of hundreds of DIY labels from the Punk era, Battery Operated was founded by Edward Ball and Dan Treacy, who went on to start Whaam! Records in the '80s. It issued at least one single, Reacta's 'Stop The World' b/w 'Sus' (WAC-1; 1979), both sides of which boasted a plain label, one red and one blue. It did however come in a picture sleeve, which was more informative. Reacta were from Brighton. Thanks to Nicholas Hough for providing the scans
